CBOLD Bibliography

• There are many duplicate or near-duplicate records in the bibliography, since many items were listed in more than one source. In general, where the items differ in any particular, we have felt that it was better to allow duplicate entries than to presume that one of the sources was correct and to eliminate the other source(s). We will continue to work to combine all the information so that there will be a single entry for each reference which contains all the information we have on it. We will also be adding a number of bibliographies which we have already received from various individuals.
• At least on some machines, at some times, the bibliography files take a long time (several minutes) to load. We are considering splitting them up into smaller files, such as one per letter of the alphabet, although this would make if a little harder to page or search through the bibliography as a whole.
• An index by language names is under construction. It is possible in most implementations of Mosaic to search the text of each section of the bibliography for a language name, but this requires jumping from section to section of the alphabetic listing.
• Some of the entries in the bibliography are in an ugly format (but all of the information is shown).

Contributing to the CBOLD bibliography

We welcome contributions of bibliographic information from individuals and institutions. If you would like to contribute bibliographic information, or you find errors in the bibliography, we would appreciate your help, and would like to cite you as the source of the new information.
