Personal statement

My main research is on processes of speech perception and production as they relate to phonetic and phonological theory. I am interested in the socio-phonetics of personal identity as this relates to vowel normalization in speech perception, and in the effects of linguistic experience on speech perception. I have also done descriptive phonetic research on American Indian languages.
